We bear responsibility. For the high quality of our products, the health and safety of our employees and the environment. Our employees are involved in the continuous optimization process in these areas through independent action and performance-based, motivating recognition. Careful treatment of nature is particularly important to us. By using materials and energy economically, we make our contribution to effective environmental protection.
In principle, our customers' expectations are our benchmark. A certified management system enables us to meet these expectations. It ensures that work and organizational processes are constantly activated and reviewed. It prevents us from clinging desperately to impractical programs and methods. Our entrepreneurial activities are driven by the changes and demands of the market. They provide us with indications for the product range, for necessary new developments and for the optimization of manufacturing processes.
REACH is the Regulation concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals. The regulation, which came into force on June 1, 2007, was issued to streamline and improve the previously applicable legal framework for chemical substances in the European Union (EU). As a manufacturer of a product (article), Penkert GmbH is a downstream user within the meaning of REACH. The products you purchase from Penkert are articles and are therefore not subject to registration under REACH. As a downstream user within the meaning of REACH, Penkert GmbH is not subject to any registration obligation. In our own interest and to ensure a high level of product safety, we adhere to strict quality regulations in accordance with ISO 9001:2015. The implementation of REACH is particularly important to us. We therefore closely monitor the resulting requirements. We are in constant contact with our suppliers from whom we purchase chemical substances and preparations that we use during our production process (e.g. auxiliary materials such as lubricants, adhesives, paints, varnishes, etc.). In most cases, our processes are widely used applications that are carried out in large quantities in many industries. For this reason, many of our suppliers have already informed us that pre-registration or subsequent registration of the relevant substances will be carried out. The well-known “RETTEN” DVD series for the education and training of firefighters has found a long-standing partner in us. In addition to equipping the training participants with special protective gloves for firefighters, we support the training center on site by providing information on all aspects of hand protection.

The Stifterverband der deutschen Wissenschaft awards Penkert GmbH the “Innovative through Research” seal.
There are 3.5 million companies in Germany, less than one percent of which conduct research – an extremely important group. Because only those who conduct research can discover new things and create innovation and growth. From 2014, the Stifterverband will be recognizing research-based companies for the special responsibility they assume for the state and society by awarding them the “Innovative through research” seal.

FireFit Championship Europe
Penkert GmbH is the official sponsoring partner of the FireFit Championships Europe.
The FireFit Championships are all about strength, fitness and speed – firefighters have the opportunity to prove their fitness at the championships. The challenges are based on the tasks involved in firefighting operations: climbing stairs. Transporting hoses, opening locked doors, rescuing people and extinguishing fires.
In order to offer the competitors the best possible protection and support at the competitions, Penkert GmbH works together with selected competitors and provides them with gloves.
Global Fire Fighters Germany e.V.
Penkert GmbH has been supporting Global Fire Fighters Germany e.V. for many years by providing funding and protective gloves.
Global Fire Fighters Germany” (GFFG) is an aid initiative of the Dortmund fire engineers Jürgen Sprengel and Harald Schillegger. The aid program, which is unique in this form worldwide, is implemented as a project tour in a four-wheel drive expedition vehicle. Equipped with firefighting equipment and rescue materials, the vehicle is ideally suited as a first response vehicle and also serves as rolling accommodation for the project team. In sparsely populated areas that do not have their own fire or rescue service infrastructure, immediate assistance can be provided in the event of a traffic accident or medical emergency. The project vehicle is equipped for weeks of self-sufficient use, far away from civilization, and has a range of more than 2000 kilometers.
