An initial variant using a sheet metal with sealing lips was not a satisfactory solution in terms of tightness and the coating on the housings wore off quickly. August Penkert now supplies a special, reinforced tarpaulin that can be firmly bolted to the housing parts and is therefore completely sealed in the direction of travel. This flexibility allows the housings to move freely in relation to each other.

At the GaLaBau 2016 trade fair, Kersten Arealmaschinen GmbH was awarded the “Innovation Medal 2016” for this new model of a mounted sweeper.
